To kick-start the programme, Batelco’s
CSR Committee ‘Nasna’ collaborated with Clean Up Bahrain who presented a lecture
for Batelco’s employees about the harmful effects of plastic on the environment,
particularly on our seas and oceans. The event encouraged the employees to
adopt a greener lifestyle in order to protect the environment from pollution,
ensuring its sustainability for future generations.
The informative session was followed
by the distribution of reusable bags to all employees, to encourage them to
stop using single-use plastic bags for shopping.
Batelco strives to
support environmental initiatives that contribute towards maintaining
sustainability, through its Nasna CSR programme. This also reflects the
company’s commitment towards community service.
