Alba hosts delegation from the FDPM Fellowship

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), an international aluminium smelter, said its position as one of the world’s top aluminium producers and its significant contribution to the Bahrain’s economy were discussed during a visit by the fellows of the FDPM Fellowship to its headquarters.

The FDPM Fellowship, launched in 2015, is an initiative led by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, aimed at building leadership skills among young Bahrainis working in middle management positions across government.

Alba’s deputy chief executive officer Ali Al Baqali, along with Alba executives and other officials, welcomed the FDPM fellows on their arrival to Alba, said a statement.

Al Baqali said: “Our company is privileged to welcome the fellows of the FDPM Fellowship, which represents an important initiative driven by HRH the Crown Prince to develop young Bahrainis into future leaders.”

“As a flagship company in Bahrain, we place great value on sharing our knowledge and expertise with students and young learners,” he said.

“Over four decades, our company has played a transformational role in diversifying the economy and providing meaningful career opportunities to Bahrainis. As we continue to grow through the Line 6 Expansion Project, we remain deeply committed to developing our people and investing in the future of the company,” he added.

During their visit, the delegation was briefed about Alba’s history, its position in the global aluminium industry and its operations, as well as being introduced to Alba’s landmark project, the Line 6 Expansion Project, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
