National carrier Gulf Air, headed by its chief executive officer Krešimir Kučko, recently received the new chief executive officer of Thales InFlyt Experience, Philippe Carette, and members of executive management of the company.

The courtesy visit included discussions on various existing projects between the two organisations and familiarisation on new products offered by Thales InFlyt Experience.

In 2016, Gulf Air selected Thales Avant In-Flight Entertainment system for its new incoming fleet of B787-900, A320neo and A321neo totalling 39 new aircraft. The entry into service of this new fleet started this year with the delivery of five B787-900 and one A320neo in total by the end of 2018. All new aircraft are delivered with the latest Avant full high definition monitors and the award-winning Thales Touch Passenger Media Unit installed on board for a greater passenger experience.

In addition, last year Gulf Air signed an agreement with Thales to equip the airline’s new incoming 12 Airbus A320neo and 17 A321neo aircraft with a cockpit package of Thales avionics solutions including the TopFlight Flight Management System (FMS) which remains the most successful flight management system in the world. TopFlight FMS provides pilots with highly reliable navigational information, displayed in a simple manner especially suited to heavy air traffic conditions. - TradeArabia News Service
