Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the Bahrain-based aluminium smelter, recently conducted a workshop for its executive management team to help them adapt to market dynamics and transform challenges into opportunities.
The “Leadership in Changing Times” workshop was presented by John E Skladan, a renowned management expert, at the Alba Club, said a statement from the company.
It focused on the tools which leaders must obtain in order to mitigate the negative impacts of the difficult market conditions, it stated.
Addressing the gathering, CEO Tim Murray said: "Although we commissioned Potline 6 ahead of schedule, we must always remember that the only easy day was yesterday."
"With this in mind, we must step-out of our comfort zone and focus on the safe completion of Potline 6 and ahead of time. This workshop will not only help our employees to adapt to market dynamics but also transform challenges into opportunities," he noted.
The workshop also helps participants to establish proactive plans for the short and long-terms to sustain the company’s growth and success post the completion of Line 6 start up, said the statement from Alba.
In addition to the executive management team, the workshop was also been presented to the management and non-management employees from various departments over the last couple of days, added.-TradeArabia News Service
