Gulf Air in talks to boost Russia trade ties

National carrier Gulf Air said it recently held discussions with Bahraini-Russian Intergovernmental Commission officials to explore possibilities of trade, economic, scientific and technological opportunities in the country.
 
Zayed R. Alzayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism and Chairman to the Board of Directors at Gulf Air headed the high-level Bahraini delegation to the country as part of its plan to expand the airlines network with strategic partners in Russia.
 
During the official visit in Moscow, Alzayani held meeting with Vitaly Saveliev, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in the presence of Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Saati, Ambassador to Bahrain in the Russian federation, Dharminder Hunjan, Director of Network and Partnerships at Gulf Air and the members of Bahraini economic delegation.
 
A number of vital issues were discussed at the meeting, related to the aviation sector, the most prominent of them being the effect of passenger transport and air freight to the Bahraini economy, said the statement from Gulf Air.
 
Both parties stressed the importance in the continuation of such discussions and visits to promote mutual co-operation taking this opportunity to exchange both experiences and information, as well as coordination in all matters related to common goals, visions and joint strategies between the two sides, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
