A record 2.8 million people crossed the King Fahad Causeway in July, the highest number of passengers in a single month since the opening of the bridge linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in 1986.
According to statistics released by the King Fahad Causeway Authority on its Twitter account, an average of 91,000 passengers crossed the bridge daily, resulting in a total of 2,821,640 passengers travelling between the two kingdoms - a 4.2 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. - TradeArabia News Service
