BTECH joins World Information Technology and Services Alliance

The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) has joined the membership of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).
 
 Founded in 1978, WITSA is a leading consortium of ICT industry association members from over 80 countries/economies around the world, and its members represent more than 90% of the world ICT market.
 
BTECH received an official letter from the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), stating that the Society was chosen to be the official and sole representative of Bahrain in this alliance, due to the role that BTECH has played since its establishment in 2012 in contributing to the development of the ICT industry in Bahrain and the region as well.      
 
In a statement on this occasion, Chairman of BTECH Ubaydli Ubaydli, stated that joining this prestigious global alliance for ICT affirms the position that (BTECH) occupies in the map of the ICT international and regional associations and federations, in addition to providing Bahrain with a conducive platform for a more prominent contribution in leading the transformation and development of the ICT industry at the international level, especially as this industry has become the main engine for the global economy.
 
“BTECH will also work, through this membership, to promote Bahraini ICT companies and the services they provide, in addition to showcasing internationally, the broad steps taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of digital transformation and knowledge economy, and attracting more qualitative technical investment for Bahrain, and continues building capacity in this sector.” Ubaydli said.
 
Ubaydli concluded: “Members of this alliance are pioneers in the ICT market, and they work together to achieve a common vision on significant issues related to this industry, in addition to setting priorities and unifying visions in a world that is shifting towards digitalisation in every aspect. Moreover, the progress of the ICT sector in Bahrain allows it to exchange experiences and benefiting from advanced international expertise in ICT.” -- Tradearabia News Service
